Nexo Card Review
The most completely published fee schedule
of 10
Nexo publishes more of its cost structure than anything else in this category: no monthly, annual or inactivity fee, ATM allowances by tier with a 2% charge beyond them, and FX rates broken out by region and by weekday versus weekend.
No money changes hands. This is a non-commercial project: no advertising, no sponsored placements, and no affiliate or referral links. Links to the services below earn us nothing. Every overall score is the plain average of the criteria shown on the page, so you can check the arithmetic yourself — see our rating methodology and how the site is funded.

Scores
Each criterion carries equal weight. The overall score is the average of these 5 scores — (10.0 + 9.0 + 4.0 + 5.0 + 6.0) ÷ 5 = 6.8.
Pros
- No monthly, annual or inactivity fee
- FX published in detail: 0.2% in the EEA, UK and Switzerland on weekdays
- ATM free allowances stated per tier, from EUR 200 to EUR 2,000
- Switches between credit and debit mode
Cons
- Assets are held by the provider, not under your own key
- Available only in selected European countries and the UK
- Cashback requires an account balance above $5,000 in credit mode
- Weekend FX rises to 0.7%, and to 2.5% outside Europe
Disclosure is the differentiator
Nexo publishes the ATM allowance for each loyalty tier, the 2% charge once you exceed it with a EUR 1.99 minimum, and separate FX rates for weekdays and weekends inside and outside Europe. No other card in this comparison sets out its costs at that granularity.
The weekend detail matters
A currency conversion at 0.2% on a Tuesday in the EEA becomes 0.7% on a Saturday, and 2.5% outside Europe at the weekend. Cards rarely publish that split, and readers rarely think to ask about it — which is precisely why it belongs in a comparison.
Where it gives ground
The card runs on custodied assets rather than a wallet you control, availability is limited to selected European countries and the UK, and the headline cashback requires a balance above $5,000 in credit mode. The top rate is also paid in the provider's own token unless you accept a much lower rate in Bitcoin.
