Sentra designed the GuardPad for people leaving an exchange for the first time. The onboarding is unusually hand-held: it explains what a seed phrase is, why order matters, and quizzes you to confirm you wrote it down. A roomy touchscreen keeps every prompt legible.
Fees & costs
The device is $99, undercutting most rivals. Buy and swap features exist in the app and carry a partner spread, but they are clearly labelled so beginners are not surprised. Pure send-and-receive costs only network fees.
Security
Keys sit in an EAL5+ secure element and every transaction is verified on-screen. The certification is a notch below the EAL6+ premium tier, which matters for high-value treasuries but is more than adequate for typical retail balances. PIN protection and passphrase support are included.
